Fall Colors + Thrills = Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster!

Question: What do you get when you cross the fall colors of the Smoky Mountains with the thrill of flying silently down a mountainside with the wind in your hair?

Answer: You get a sensational roller coaster experience called the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster!

Fall is Here!

Fall is here and that means the kids are back in school. They’re busy with the books, learning new math and conjugating verbs. They’re well into the semester and are probably ready for a break. Why not bring them to Gatlinburg, TN, for a ride on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster?

Fall is one of the best times of the year to ride this amazing mountain coaster because the Smoky Mountains are covered in gorgeous autumn colors. This palette can easily be seen from the top of the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster – one of the first mountain coasters in the Smoky Mountains, and one of the most popular. If you haven’t ridden it yet, you should. It’s a unique experience that’s fun for the whole family.

Thrills and Chills

Riding the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is a thrill a minute. As you fly down the mountainside, you’ll notice trees whipping past as you pick up speed. Faster and faster you go as you hug the curves on the way down. If you get a little nervous, don’t worry. There is a brake handle. And of course you can actually use it if you want to–but why would you want to slow yourself down like that? Let it go and let yourself fly!

A Family Affair

The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is great for the whole family. Even the little ones can ride as long as they meet the size requirements. Whether you ride two to a car or by yourself, you’ll be safely belted in all the way down. And you’ll notice the silence on this ride — gravity is what pulls you down, not engines or motors. (Ask the kids if they’ve learned about Sir Isaac Newton in school yet!)

Complete the Equation

Gatlinburg’s most popular mountain coaster is open Monday – Thursday, and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, it’s open from 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Weather doesn’t stop us. Rain, snow, or shine…we’re open, just like the Pony Express (another thing to ask the kids about). All we need to complete this equation now is you!
