No Need for a Holiday to Celebrate on Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster!

Fall is in the air and the leaves are changing colors. It’s time for football, hayrides, and hot apple cider. And several holidays are coming up: Halloween, Thanksgiving…before we know it, Christmas will be here! Okay, maybe it’s still a little ways away, but you don’t have to wait for a holiday to celebrate being alive on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster. In fact this mountain coaster is the perfect way to celebrate, holiday or not!

A Thrill a Minute

Riding the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is a thrill a minute. Flying down the mountain, wind blowing your hair, a huge grin plastered on your face…there’s nothing like it! The twists and turns of the wooden track keep you on your toes (so to speak), and you control how fast you go by applying the brake as needed. But who needs the brake? Let it go and let yourself fly!

Special Benefits this Time of Year

The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is one of the best attractions in Gatlinburg. And there are a couple things that make riding it special this time of year. One is the trees. Yes, the trees. From the top of the ride, you can view the Smoky Mountains in full fall color — and that’s a sight to behold. As you descend the mountain, the winding track carries you right through the heart of the trees. You’ll have a front row seat! Enjoy the colors as you fly down the mountain on the silent track.

Another feature that makes riding this mountain coaster something special is darkness. The days are getting shorter, and riding the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster at night is a unique experience — all of Gatlinburg is laid out below you in little twinkling lights. Some areas of the ride itself also have lights on them. It’s almost like Christmas has come early!

Fun for the Whole Family

The whole family will have a blast on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster. It’s a ride that’s suitable for everyone. You don’t have to climb to the top to start your ride; a special lift system carries you up and deposits you at the top, ready to go. You can ride by yourself or with another person, but children have to be at least 3 years old to ride, be at least 38” tall, and ride with an adult. Once you decide who’s riding with whom, hop in the car, get situated, fasten your safety belt, and you’re off! Remember — you’re in the driver’s seat. You can go as fast or as slow as you want. But the faster you go, the more fun you’ll have!
