The 4th of July is Even More Spectacular on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster!

The 4th of July: America’s Birthday, and a celebration of all that is American, rolled up in one single day. It’s a time to celebrate, have picnics, barbecues, and, of course, massive fireworks displays. Like most things in life, there are nice places to watch fireworks, and then there are places in which you’ll never forget experiencing the fireworks display. Of the many places to see the fireworks show in Gatlinburg, the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is rated as one of the best.

Imagine a Slow, Fireworks-Illuminated Ride Down the Gatlinburg Coaster

On any given night, the ride down the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is nothing short of

spectacular. You get to control your speed, breathe the crisp  night air, and stop to see the lights and views along the way. The track itself is lit by countless hundreds of tiny lights that line it from top to bottom. This can make for an incredibly magical and romantic ride for a happy couple or a great time to take your kids for a ride.

Each ride is controlled by the person sitting in the front of the car. Your ride on the Gatlinburg Coaster is virtually silent and progresses at the speed you choose. You can let the car loose and fly down the side of the mountain at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour. Alternatively, you can ride the brakes all the way down, going slow enough for you and your companion to enjoy Gatlinburg’s 4th of July fireworks show.

The Choice is Yours on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster

One of the most significant problems with most roller coasters is that you are stuck in a long train of cars hurtling down the track at speeds high enough to turn the scenery into a blur. On top of this, most coasters shut down as the sun sets. At the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, the ride is open until 9 pm Sunday through Thursday and until 10 pm Friday and Saturday nights.

This means you can take a nice, slow ride down the Gatlinburg Coaster after the sun sets and the Gatlinburg fireworks show takes off. You can stop the car on the way down to take in the show, or slow down long enough to really see a few good explosions. One thing you need to keep in mind is that as much as you are in control of your ride, others are waiting behind you to enjoy the same ride.

Come rain or shine, there is nothing more fun than taking a ride on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster on the 4th of July. Of course, the 4th of July is not the only day to come in and enjoy a ride. You can ride on the coaster any day of the year. The Gatlinburg
Coaster is open 365 days a year for your riding pleasure. For more information on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, visit us online and see what you have been missing.
